Transition Information

Transitioning back into civilian life can be tough for a lot of service members. During this time a lot of important decisions will have to be made on top of leaving behind the military lifestyle behind. Some of the common items to consider are:

How will this affect my family?

Where will we live?

Do I continue the same occupation or something different?

Will I need additional training or higher education?

What do I need and how to find a job?

The questions listed above along with a ton of others depending upon each individual situation can be overwhelming. The main thought to keep in mind is that many have successfully transitioned before you and there will be many after. The key is to layout a plan as soon as possible listing the key points of your own transition and and the strategy of how to handle it. Documenting all action items will help reduce stress by tracking all the individual items while they are in motion.
